Angela Menni was born in Athens and grew up in Chios. She is a graduate of the
Technological Educational Institution (ΤΕΙ) of Social Work of the School of Health
and Care Professions of Athens (ΣΕΥΠ) and was trained in the field of Systemic,
Dialectic, Multifocal, and Multilevel Psychotherapy at the Athenian Institute of
Anthropos (ΑΙΑ). Since 2003, she has been working together with AIA as a trainer
on the Principles of Process Group.
She has completed the second stage of training (Core Skills) on Emotionally
Focused Couple Therapy (Emotionally Focused Therapy- EFT). Moreover, she has
been trained on the Basic Principles of Process Group and as a Coordinator
based on the approach of Processwork.
As a professional, she believes that learning is a continual process aimed at
personal development and improvement and this belief follow her professional life, attending conferences, seminars, “Process Work” work groups of systemic approach etc.
Since 2019 she has had her own private office as a psychotherapist of adults where she works with
Individuals, Groups and Couples. From 1999 to 2020 she worked in posts of great responsibility in big organisations. More specifically, from 1999 to 2008 she worked in the Development Company “ENA CHIOS” in responsible posts aiming at providing services to vulnerable groups, managing human resources and planning and implementing European Programmes. From 2009 to 2019 she had been working at the institutions that the Civil Non-Profit Organisation “Child and Adolescent’s Centre operates in the area of Peristeri, Athens. Its target was to provide Mental Health Services both in Athens and Chios to children and adolescents who face mental and developmental disorders and to their families. Among others, their main object was to cooperate with the institutions of the community to plan and implement educational activities for the community and also support and consult the people on the Spectrum of Autism. In 2010 she had been a member and a Vice Chairman of the Organisation for six years. From 2000 until today, having shown a special interest in the field of Community Psychology and Social Economy in Greece, she has played an active part as a founding member in two Corporations of Limited Liability, ” ΚΟΙ. Σ.Π.Ε Chios” and “Athena- Elpis”. The Corporations of Limited Liability, through their business activities, employ people with psychosocial problems targeting their social and financial rehabilitation and integration into the community. Regarding the Corporation of Limited Liability “ΚΟΙ.Σ.Π.Ε Chios”, from 2000 until 2004 she was a member of the establishment group and from 2004 (after the establishment of the Corporation) until 2010 she was the Director of the Administrative Board. Furthermore, from 2011 until 2023 she had been working with the Corporation of Limited Liability “Athena-Elpis” as a member of the consulting and support service for the employees- beneficiaries of Mental Health Services. Also, from 2013 to 2020 she was a member of the Supervisory Board.
Since 2014 she has worked with other professionals in Mental Health and has planned and implemented Experiential Seminars of Personal Development and support groups for professionals.
She is a regular member of the Hellenic Association of Systemic Therapy (HELLASSYTH), a Member of the Social Corporation of Limited Liability of the 8th Sector of Mental Health of Attica “Athena-Elpis” and a member of the Social Corporation of Limited Liability of the Chios Prefecture, “Orion”.
