Couples Therapy
By creating an atmosphere of trust, the couple fosters open and honest communication between them. Each partner learns to act autonomously and in ways that promote their interpersonal relationships both within and outside the partnership.
Strengthening Relationships Through the Systemic Approach
Couple therapy and group therapy for couples offered by AIA are based on the Systemic-Dialectical Multi-level-Multi-perspective Approach, focusing on the dynamics affecting the relationship and the possibilities for strengthening it. These two methods provide different tools and frameworks to address difficulties, foster communication, and reconnect partners, both on an individual and collective level.
Couple Therapy
Couple therapy is intended for partners who wish to:
- Resolve conflicts
- Improve communication
- Reconnect emotionally
- Address transitional phases, such as the birth of a child, crises, or changes in their lives
The Systemic-Dialectical Approach in couple therapy focuses on the dynamics of the relationship, considering the context in which it develops. The couple is not viewed as two separate individuals but as an interacting system. Through the therapeutic process, partners learn to recognize their communication patterns, understand each other's needs and emotions more deeply, and develop a more meaningful dialogue. Instead of seeking "who is to blame," the focus shifts to "how" they co-create their relationship and how they can evolve it. The therapy enhances empathy, cooperation, and trust, helping the couple manage conflicts, redefine their connection, and create a more functional and satisfying bond.
