Nikos was born and raised in Athens. He studied Psychology and specialized in Systemic, Dialectic, Psychotherapy at the Athenian Institute of Anthropos (A.I.A) He worked with psychiatric patients and their families, in the department of family counselling and therapy of the
General Hospital of Aghia Olga. He was involved in developing, evaluating and administering psychometric tools and personnel selection at ISON PSYCHOMETRICA.
He collaborated with Child Protection Organizations, such as the SOS Children’s Villages Greece, and The HOME Project, working with children and adolescents who face trauma-abuse-neglect. He was responsible in the fields of selection, training, supervision and support of the human resources of the Organizations as well as the professionals who work with children and adolescents. In the context of sharing know-how and good practices, he has also provided training and supervisory work to public and private Child Welfare and Protection Organizations.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Insular Policy, he had the scientific responsibility for implementing support programs regarding resilience and crisis management for the Hellenic Coast Guard. Since 2009, he has worked privately as a psychologist and psychotherapist, with individuals, groups and couples, while supervising psychologists, social workers and mental health professionals.
Since 2016 he has been collaborating with the Athenian Athenian Institute of Anthropos as a trainer and supervisor of psychotherapists.
He plays the guitar and focuses mainly on jazz, soul, and funk music.
He is a full member of the Hellenic Association of Systemic Therapy (HELLASSYTH), the National Society of Psychotherapy of Greece (EEPSE) and the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP).
