Description

The children’s group (for elementary school students) is a journey of development, growth, and co-evolution of individual and group qualities through experience, play, and various participatory and creative methods. Guided by the dreams of the group, at the helm is the process unfolding in the here and now during each meeting, with teamwork as the engine and the presence and skills of all the children and facilitators as the fuel. We travel to better understand ourselves and others, create space for all the voices within and around us, learning to listen and hear, process, accept, and set boundaries when necessary.

We travel and learn to communicate with one another in different ways and to create relationships where we may also face challenges!

We co-create a safe space to express ourselves about what concerns us, with the easy and difficult emotions that follow, building trust for ourselves and others, and utilizing the uniqueness and diversity of each person. We travel and explore the world we live in, discovering new ways to manage the challenges of the times while maintaining our identity. During this journey, we will move in space, wander through stories, sounds, and colors, activating our bodies and imaginations, with the motto: “If it’s not fun, it’s not sustainable!”

The responsibility for the design and coordination of the group lies with three collaborators from AKMA, trained and experienced in facilitating and coordinating children’s groups, under the supervision of Ms. Daphne David.
