Family Therapy

AIA’s Family Therapy offers families the opportunity to rediscover their dynamics and values, building stronger bonds and healthier relationships.

Restarting Relationships

Family therapy based on AIA’s Systemic-Dialectic, Multilevel-Multifocal approach focuses on the dynamics of relationships among family members, recognizing the family as a living system that evolves and interacts with the broader social context.

The approach takes into account multiple levels of influence—individual, intergenerational, cultural—and examines patterns of communication, unconscious beliefs, and power relationships that shape family dynamics.

Within the therapeutic process, family members are encouraged to recognize and express their needs, emotions, and expectations, to gain a deeper understanding of the roles they adopt, and to explore recurring patterns that affect the family’s functionality. Rather than focusing on assigning “blame,” the approach helps the family discover new ways of connecting, communicating, and managing conflicts. Through dialogue and interaction, empathy, trust, and cooperation are cultivated, creating a supportive environment that enhances the cohesion and development of the family as a whole.
