Vassilis is a systemic psychotherapist, trainer, and supervisor. He has 30 years of experience in addiction counselling and in individual, group, and family therapy. He studied counselling, psychotherapy, and management of health organisations, and completed his master’s degree in Counselling Psychology in England.

In 2000, together with three former colleagues, he founded the Centre for Research of Human Behaviour, the first non-governmental organisation in the private sector in Greece active in the field of prevention and treatment of addictions.

Vassilis has been actively involved for many years in the organisation and implementation of community action programs, prevention, therapy, and the training of professionals in the health care sector in Greece, Cyprus, and the United Kingdom.

In 2008 he was honoured and awarded for his outstanding contribution to the field of mental health by the Minister of Health in Cyprus. In 2015 the Centre for Research was recognised as one of the 15 most influential organizations in Greece regarding their social impact (Social Impact Awards).

In 2002, he entered a ten-year intensive experiential training program at the Athenian Institute of Anthropos (AIA), specialising in family therapy, group therapy, and systemic community interventions. For the last three years, he has been a member of AIA’s Coordinating Scientific Team and is actively involved in therapy, supervision, and training.

Vassilis is a certified clinical member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA-CGP) and a member of the European Family Therapy Association (EFTA), where he has served as a Board Member for the past four years. He is also a member of several professional organisations in the field of addictions.

Vassilis has a deep and personal relationship with music. Since the age of 8, he has been studying, composing, and performing classical and electric guitar in many different contexts. Musicality has always been an integral part of who he is, permeating all areas of his professional work.
