Malvina Tsounaki holds a degree in Psychology and two postgraduate degrees: a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and an Advanced Degree in Counseling – Marriage and Family Therapy from Bridgeport University, Connecticut, USA.

She was trained in the Systemic Approach at the Laboratory for the Exploration of Human Relations.

She has been licensed to practice psychology and has maintained a private practice since 1987.

Malvina is involved in the training of mental health professionals, in collaboration with the Athenian Institute of Anthropos (AKMA), focusing on Psychological Assessment and Family Therapy.

She is an active member of numerous professional associations, including the Hellenic Psychological Society (SEPS), the Hellenic Society for Systemic Therapy (ELESYTH), and the European Family Therapy Association (EFTA). She served as a Board Member and President of the Chamber of Individual Members (CIM) of EAP until 2014. She is also a member of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP), the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA), the International Family Therapy Association (IFTA), and the Man–Environment Systems Association.
