Psychologist – Prevention Specialist
Cleo Koundouraki was born and raised in Athens. She studied Psychology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and was trained in Systems Theory and its applications in the human sciences, in the Group Process and Youth Empowerment at the Athenian Institute of Anthropos.

She has worked for the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Programme “Psychargos” in the context of the psychiatric reformation. Since 2006 she has lived in Paros and has worked at the Centre for Addiction Prevention and Psychosocial Health Promotion “Theseas Cycladon” designing, organizing and implementing primary prevention programs in the communities of the Cyclades. In this field, she has gained rich experience in working with schools and broader communities, applying systems theory and her training in the group process. Her fieldwork consists mostly of supporting and educating teachers and parents, supervising programs implemented for pupils and coordinating adolescent and young adult groups. 

Her innate love for team belonging and cooperativeness has been enriched by the values of prevention and mental health promotion and is expressed through her constant participation in music and theatre groups and other community activities.

In addition, she is a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Panhellenic Network of Addiction Prevention Agencies and has participated in presentations at Greek and international conferences.
