Kaitsas Nikos
Psychologist -B.Sc., Psychotherapist -ECP
Nikos Kaitsas was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He studied Psychology and specialized in Systemic, Dialectical, Multifocal, and Multilevel Psychotherapy at the Athenian Institute of Anthropos (AKMA), where he now collaborates as a trainer and clinical supervisor.
He has worked with psychiatric patients and their families in the family therapy outpatient unit of the psychiatric department at General Hospital “Agia Olga”. He was also involved in the development, standardization, and application of psychometric tools, as well as staff selection and assessment, at ISON Psychometrica.
He has collaborated with child protection organizations such as SOS Children’s Villages Greece and The HOME Project, supporting children, adolescents, and unaccompanied refugee minors facing trauma, abuse, and neglect. His responsibilities included the selection, training, supervision, and support of mental health professionals and all staff working with children and adolescents. He has also provided training and supervision to public and private child care and protection organizations, promoting the transfer of know-how and best practices.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, and with the support of the Athenian Institute of Anthropos, he implemented resilience-building and trauma management programs for active-duty members of the Hellenic Coast Guard.
Since 2009, he has maintained a private psychotherapy practice, working with individuals, couples, and groups, while also supervising psychologists, social workers, and mental health professionals.

Outside of his clinical and training work, he enjoys playing the guitar and has a passion for funk, soul, and jazz music.
