Psychologist – Family Therapist
Alexandra Dimitriadou is a Psychologist and Family Therapist with a postgraduate specialization in School Psychology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
She received her clinical training in Systemic Family Therapy at the Athenian Institute of Anthropos (AKMA), where she also trained in the administration and interpretation of psychometric tools for assessing cognitive functions and personality (WISC, WAIS, T.A.T., Rorschach).
She has worked in the rehabilitation of learning difficulties and the education of children with pervasive developmental disorders, offering counseling support to their families.
She participated in the “Emotional Education” program of the University of Athens, implemented in primary schools in the Attica region, and served as a group facilitator for parents in the Parental Counseling Program of the Institute for Lifelong Adult Education (IDEKE).
She has contributed to the design and implementation of prevention programs for families and school communities at the Health Education and Prevention Center of Samos.
Since 2008, she has been working as a psychologist at the Child Protection Center “Mitera”, providing psychological support to children and families in vulnerable contexts.
As part of her ongoing collaboration with the Athenian Institute of Anthropos, she is currently involved in the development of a training network for Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy.
