Kostas Papachristopoulos holds a PhD in Organizational Psychology<\/strong> and is a Chartered Psychologist<\/strong> with the British Psychological Society (BPS). He is also a Systemic Psychotherapist<\/strong>, trained over the last 15 years at the Athenian Institute of Anthropos (AKMA)<\/strong>, where he now teaches systemic theory and its applications in therapy, group process, and organizational contexts. He teaches Organizational and Work Psychology, Organizational Behavior<\/strong>, and Systemic Thinking and Intervention<\/strong> at several institutions, including the University of Crete<\/strong>, the Athens University of Economics and Business<\/strong>, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens<\/strong>, University of Thessaly<\/strong>, and the Hellenic Open University<\/strong>, as well as in public and private sector organizations.<\/p>\n

He has served in senior positions in municipalities and development agencies (e.g., Development Agency of the Municipality of Athens, ADEP, KDEPA<\/strong>), and collaborated with consulting firms and organizations in the fields of HR, employment, and innovation<\/strong>. He has led more than 20 research and development projects<\/strong>, and has evaluated numerous initiatives such as Urban Innovative Actions<\/strong>. He is an expert advisor<\/strong> to the European Union<\/strong> (e.g., ESCO \u2013 European Skills, Competences and Occupations Classification), the Council of Europe<\/strong> (e.g., Intercultural Cities Network), and other European networks on social and employment policy<\/strong> (e.g., Eurocities).<\/p>\n

He has authored over 60 presentations at scientific conferences<\/strong>, published in peer-reviewed journals<\/strong>, and served on the editorial board<\/strong> of Human Systems<\/em>. He was the coordinator of the Work and Organizational Psychology Division of the Hellenic Psychological Society (HPS)<\/strong> for six years and is a member of multiple scientific associations<\/strong> in Greece and internationally (e.g., EAWOP<\/strong>, Hellenic Psychological Society<\/strong>, Hellenic Society for Systemic Therapy<\/strong>, National Society for Psychotherapy of Greece<\/strong>). He also edited the Greek edition of Fritjof Capra\u2019s<\/strong> book Hidden Connections<\/em> (\u0391\u03c6\u03b1\u03bd\u03b5\u03af\u03c2 \u03a3\u03c5\u03bd\u03ac\u03c6\u03b5\u03b9\u03b5\u03c2<\/em>, Indiktos Publishing).<\/p>\n

His research interests focus on workplace motivation and well-being<\/strong>, economic psychology<\/strong> (e.g., compensation and cooperation), systemic approaches to intervention<\/strong>, and creativity and innovation in organizational leadership<\/strong>. He has completed undergraduate studies in Psychology and Business Administration<\/strong>, and holds master\u2019s degrees in Human Resource Management (MSc)<\/strong>, Counseling (MA)<\/strong>, and Cultural Unit Management (MSc)<\/strong>. He conducted postdoctoral research<\/strong> at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2019)<\/strong> and at Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al (2023)<\/strong> as a Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow<\/strong>, focusing on positive social impact and social innovation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
