After seven years of coordinating AIA’s adolescents support groups, we decided to share the knowledge we acquired from these groups –as well as from other areas of our work with adolescents- with other professionals who are interested in enriching their methodological vocabulary and their tool-kit in this field.


Through a series of experiential (hands-on) exercises and “games” we will learn together ways of working in this significant (special, particular) developmental stage.  Our guides will be information and experience derived from our work, the interaction of the seminar group itself as well as the relevant theory, with which we are going to build bridges through active participation and the experience.

We are going to share thoughts, experiences, concerns and emotions, in this quest for new ideas, practices and tools, through the capitalization of the interaction which will emerge from working experientially.


The aim is to put into practice tools and methodologies that are applicable today, taking into consideration the particularities, the potential and the limitations of our era.  Prerequisite for this is the basic familiarization with the principles of group interaction, since this will be our main work tool. In addition, necessary ingredients are the interest and/or the curiosity to share our personal experience and explore the pathways that lay in front of us.

To whom it is addressed

The seminar addresses professionals with a degree who work with the human and its groups (i.e. psychologists, doctors, social workers, social scientists, educators) as well as professionals who through their work experience and their special training are in a position to be acknowledged as counselors or specialists in counseling and/or psychotherapy.

Educational Prerequisites

requirement is some basic familiarity with group-process principles since this will be our main working tool. Other necessary ingredients are the interest or/and the curiosity to share our personal experience and explore the roads opening in front of us.
